The College

The College was established in 1993 offering UG programs such as B.Sc. Electronics and Computer Science for the first time in Kerala. The course is being run under the semester system with the most modern syllabi, modified from time to time. The University of Calicut awards the degree. The location of the permanant building of the college is by the side of NH 47 at a distance of 33 KMs from both Palakkad and Trissur. The College will be the first one in Kerala to offer a P.G Diploma course in Audio Engineering at the Govt. Level for aspirants in the audio media industry. The course will be started from 2010.

           College of Applied Science, Vadakkencherry is in the stream of education, offering post graduate and degree courses in Electronic Science and Computer Science.  M.Sc. Electronics of this college is the first of the kind under the University of Calicut and has one of the most advanced syllabi in the whole country! There are about 29 teaching staff, 14 in Computer Science, 10 in Electronics and 5 others.

The Objectives of the College

• Selecting schemes and projects to harness the educated unemployed into gainful avenues of employment after proper orientation, training and exposure to management techniques.
• Developing general awareness and personality in students through seminars, discussions, competitions, lectures conducted by eminent persons in different professional areas.
• Promoting lifelong learning, sociability, social awareness and commitment, better vision, industrial interaction and ensuring overall community development.
• Undertaking live projects from industries, giving training to industrial persons and training in latest technology and professional orientation.
• Provide technical knowledge to local community and helping various government and voluntary organizations.
